A steel-clad covered riding area with a cedar-shingled lounge at the entry, under a heavy timber canopy.
A covered riding area built for year-round use: the steel building gives a clear-span interior with no columns to ride around, so the ground stays usable through Alberta winters and wet springs.
At the entry, the building changes character — cedar shakes and a heavy timber canopy frame a lounge where riders and visitors can spend time, which is what puts this project in the barndominium family as well: a working building with a place to live in it, designed and built as one structure.
