Foundations & Site Work
Foundations & Site Work in Calgary
Pile design, concrete footings and ICF walls — plus the surveying, excavation and compaction testing that has to happen before any of it.

How it works
The foundation decides what the rest of the schedule looks like. Piles suit sites where speed matters or where excavation is awkward: on a commercial tire shop in Rocky View County, the pile foundation went from design to installed in under thirty days. Poured footings suit sites where loads or ground conditions call for them.
Either way the site work comes first. Surveying establishes the setting-out, excavation follows, and compaction testing confirms a solid base before any footing is placed — as on the 35,224 square foot warehouse in Mountain View County. Concrete testing then verifies that strength and quality benchmarks have been met before the build goes vertical.
For walls, Insulated Concrete Forms bring high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation into the structure itself, reinforced with fibreglass structural rebar — chosen for its corrosion resistance and high tensile strength.
FAQ
Foundations questions
Piles or poured concrete — which suits my site?
It depends on the ground and the programme. Piles go in fast and need little excavation, which suits tight schedules and awkward access. Poured footings suit heavier loads and ground conditions that call for a spread base. The pile design is done in-house.
Do you handle the site work as well as the foundation?
Yes — surveying, excavation and compaction testing are part of the scope. Compaction is tested before footings go in, so the base under the foundation is a verified number rather than an assumption.
Why fibreglass rebar instead of steel?
Corrosion resistance and high tensile strength. In an ICF wall it reinforces the concrete without the long-term corrosion risk steel carries in that environment.
Who pulls the permits?
We do. Engineering and permit applications are part of the turnkey scope, so the drawings, the engineering and the submission are handled by the same team.
